AN ARTIST
WHO NEEDED A BIGGER CANVAS
As a kid, I didn’t just loveto draw-I needed to. Blank space made my skin crawl; I drew in my paper margins, painted on my walls and door in my childhood room, and would show up to class with a fresh doodle sleeve on my arm. Then I looked up and noticed the biggest blank space I’ve ever come toe-to-toe with – a billboard.
That sudden realization of a big white rectangle took me places (once I got off the highway), and I’ve been combining my passion for art and need to fill the blank space through advertising.
