So we had to break the news to them about the biggest soap scandal in history: consumers are breaking up with their old products for one that’s more than “just a friend”.
Word spreads fast in the media, especially when it comes to celebrities. We positioned Barkeeper’s Friend and his competitors as “soap stars” and let the world in on their relationship drama through the tabloids.
Celebrity drama pages are all over social media, where people stay updated on their favorite stars. We took our cleaning celeb scandal to Instagram to get the news to younger generations.
